With a whole host of events going on in Brighton and Hove from June to August 2019, we can’t wait for these upcoming events…

Brighton Comedy Garden | 19th – 23rd June

Following the annual Brighton Fringe some of the nation’s favourite comedians are back in the city once again for the first ever boutique festival for comedy in Preston Park, Brighton Comedy Garden.

Expect five nights of side-splitting stand-up comedy, with headliners including Alan Davies, Sean Lock and Sara Pascoe.

Paddle round the pier | 6th – 7th July

Europe’s largest free charity beach event is back for its 23rd year, and is set right by the doorstep of The Grand Brighton on Hove Lawns.

Watch the main spectacle of the weekend where hundreds of competitors attempt the pier to pier race on makeshift sailing vessels, or join in the fun with give-it-a-go amateur watersports activities on the lawns!

The Luna Beach Cinema | 19th – 29th July

This July, the open-air cinema experience returns to Brighton Beach for a month-long residency with daily film screenings of Disney classics to some brand new blockbusters, including Bohemian Rhapsody and A Star is Born.

Located right next to the Palace Pier, the Luna Beach Cinema is just a five minute walk from The Grand and is the perfect way to wind down in the afternoon after a long day on the beach.

Brighton & Hove Pride | 2nd – 4th August

Described by The Guardian as “the country’s most popular LGBT event,” the Brighton Pride Festival has to be one of the biggest moments on the city’s annual calendar.

From the vibrant and colourful parade which passes by the sea-facing guest rooms and Victoria Lounge and bar of The Grand Brighton, to the Pride in the Park party with iconic headliner Kylie Minogue, it’s set to be another spectacular year of celebrations.

For Pride visitors coming to Brighton from around the world this August, watch this space for some special events going on at The Grand Brighton over the big weekend!

Brighton Mod Weekender | 22nd – 26th August

Topping off a summer of fun in 2019, the August bank holiday weekend in Brighton is dedicated once again to mod-fanatics with daytime and evening music and scooter driving events.

On the Sunday, jump back in time to 1979 when The Police frontman, Sting, famously played a bellboy working at The Grand Brighton in the iconic film Quadrophenia and watch vespas from across the country race along the marine parade.
