The best of Brighton’s beachside dining and entertainment

The traditional English seaside staycation has returned, and we can’t think of a better way to enjoy the south coast than by exploring the best that Brighton has to offer during the summer season.

From outdoor comedy and live music, to bars along the beach here are our top things to do this summer in Brighton & Hove…

Bison Beach Bar

A favourite in Brighton’s brewing scene, Bison Beer has taken up popular residency at the Sea Lanes with a pop-up beach bar and will keep drinks flowing until the end of summer.

Carry your drinks down to the surf or pre-book a table for up to six at this bustling beach joint - we know it’s going to be a popular choice over the next few months!

Shelter Hall Raw

Shelter Hall Raw is the hotly anticipated pop-up food hall located at the centre of Brighton beach. The newly renovated heritage Victorian pagoda is just a five minute walk from The Grand hotel lobby and is home to a host of some of Brighton's favourite food vendors.

Currently on the menu are a selection of lovely eateries including Neapolitan pizza from Fatto a Mano; Mexican bites from Carlito Burrito; and Lost Boys Chicken serving up fried wings and burgers. Adding atmosphere alongside the food and drink vendors, a Brighton based entertainment line-up brings live sets from emerging local artists and DJs all summer long, beginning with DJ Suze Rosser who will be a regular fixture at Shelter Hall.

The Warren Outdoor Season

The beloved annual arts festival, the Brighton Fringe, may have been delayed this year but Fringe partner venue The Warren has announced that it will be bringing life back to post-lockdown Brighton with a series of outdoor comedy, theatre and music events. It will open 5th August and offer a daily programme until 27th September 2020.

Sea Lanes Pop-up

Head East along the seafront as you head out of the hotel, and you’ll find the Sea Lanes pop-up venue on Madeira Drive between the Palace Pier and the Volk's Railway. Sea Lanes is home to a wealth of activities that will take you from morning to sunset with its fitness and wellness pop-ups, spa and food and drink outlets.

Beachside yoga and personal training sessions are available throughout the week via Luna Wave Yoga and MNP training. Alternatively, make the most of the water if you’re brave enough, and start your day with a swim in the sea and then treat yourself with a wind down in the Beach Box Sauna - a wild beach spa retreat located in the pop-up area which houses wood-fired saunas, freshwater showers and natural spa treatments. Follow up with hot food, fries or coffee from the Sea Lanes vendors.
